Megan Bülow a.k.a. Bülow is the latest in a stream of fantastic talent coming out of the Netherlands. We’d be lying if we said that was the only place she’d made an impression though, as her debut single ‘This Is Not A Love Song’ has already made it into New Music Friday Playlists in Canada and Germany too. This feat is made even more impressive by the fact that Bülow is yet to leave high school. ‘This Is Not A Love Song’ is a sugary pop track inspired by a skewed perception of the butterflies-in-stomach moment of meeting someone you like – “wish I could tell you that I miss you but I can’t’”. Despite the fact that this is very much ‘not a love song’, with a debut as strong as this we can’t help but get excited about what would happen if Bülow resigned to writing one, one day… -HM
